MOOD BOARD
My mood board for this collection was a collage of original London club kids that had a new romantic aesthetic along with a print that I developed to use within the collection.
MY PRINT DESIGN
This print was directly inspired by the lives of the original club kids.
THE COLLECTION
The collection I have designed consists of 4 tops, 1 skirt, 2 dresses, 1 pant, 1 short, 1 jumpsuit and 1 jacket. My aim was to create looks that would work well together and create a variety of silhouettes.

THE TOP
This garment is the one I chose to make for our assessment piece at university. I made it from plastic from Bunnings and a shower curtain from Ikea. Using cheap readily available items was a key part of my concept as that is the type of materials club kids in the 80’s were using as they were also students who didn’t have a lot of money. I hand painted my print onto the plastic. I didn’t expect the paint to come off when other parts of the plastic stuck to it as it didn’t happen during my trial.
UPCYCLED GARMENT
This garment was upcycled from an old leather skirt. Zips were inserted along with a print added to the leather.
